Jay Adams, of the legendary Z-Boys skateboarders, passed away on Friday of what is a suspected heart attack.
Adams was one of the skaters portrayed in the film Lords of Dogtown, which was about skateboarding in Venice, California.
On Thursday, after surfing for so long and saying ‘this was the best surf trip of his life,’ Adams went to sleep because he wasn’t feeling well. Friday morning, Tracy told everyone in their group that Jay was choking, and an ambulance was called, but before they could get to him, he was already dead.
Jay has left behind a huge legacy, especially in the world of skateboarding, and he is already sorely missed!
May God grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss. RIP.
