MindHub Technologies, a technology company, has dragged D’banj to court for allegedly owing them the sum of $240,000 and another N15 million.
MindHub is saying that D’banj refused to pay the debt as at when due, but later issued them two post-dated cheques which bounced when they tried to.cash them.
The company is now like "they only talk with D’banj through their lawyers because all efforts made by them for him to repay his debt has proved abortive.”
According to MindHub Tech, the case with D’banj has been in court since 2013 and he has only paid them the sum of N8,600,000 out of the N15 million owed, and has not paid a single penny from the $240,000.
A letter addressed to D’banj from the company’s lawyers reads:
“We act as Solicitors to MINDHUB TECHNOLOGIES LTD (hereinafter called “OUR CLIENT”), and on whose instruction we write you this letter in the manner stated hereunder.
“It is our brief that sometime in January 2013 in Lagos, you signed a Personal Guarantee/Memorandum of Undertaking with our client wherein you agreed/undertook to pay our client the investment fund of N100,000,000.00k (One Hundred Million Naira Only) given to D KINGS MEDIA LIMITED by our client, should the latter default in payment of the debt. The said debt is made up of Nigerian and United States of America’s currencies.”
According to reports, the case is already due for hearing in a Lagos High court but it has been impossible for the notice to be served to D’banj as he has been out of the country.
D’banj has however taken to Twitter to respond to the allegations.
He tweeted, “Silence….Hear (SIC) is my response to the false rumors”
