A grandfather left a little girl in spa as 'deposit' after forgetting wallet - and hasn't picked her up after ONE MONTH

A six-year-old girl who was left behind as a payment deposit by her grandfather at a spa has been living there for a month - after he failed to pick her up.

Little Siyao was brought in by her grandfather, who announced he wanted a good wash in a warm tub, followed by a relaxing message. But when it came to pay, he announced that he had forgotten his money, and said he would need to go home and collect it. little did they know that that would be the last of him.

Mee Wang, 40, manager at the bath house in Kunming, in south-western China's Yunnan province, said:
"He told the reception that would leave his granddaughter Siyao, 6, behind as proof that he intended to return, and then left."
But by the end of the day he had not returned and kind-hearted staff were left looking after the girl, who has now been living there for more than a month.

She has made good friends with some of the staff, who make sure she has somewhere nice to sleep overnight when the centre is closed and have arranged for a TV to be left switched on in case she feels lonely or scared. They are also feed her, have provided changes in clothing and she is free to use the washing facilities at the bath house.

After the story was published in local media appealing for the grandfather to come forward, many people also contacted social services and urge them to intervene, although at the moment she is still lodged at the bathing house.
