A 30-year-old man from Delaware County has been
charged with raping a 6-year-old girl at his
daughter’s birthday party.
The horrible incident occurred last month and Arturo
Olivar of 9408 Shawnee Trail in Shawnee Hills, faces
one felony count of raping a child younger than 12.
The Columbus Dispatch reports:
The girl’s father reported the rape to Shawnee Hills
police on June 26, Chief Sean LeFever said. The girl
was at the party at Olivar’s home on June 22 when
Olivar attacked her, LeFever said. The girl, who is
not related to Olivar, told her parents, and her father
went to police.
Olivar is being held in the Delaware County jail. Bail
was set at $200,000.
