Their apparent lack of men drove them to tie the knots with each other.. I mean I can't fathom another reason.
Vivian Boyack (91) and Alice "Nonie" Dubes (90) having been together for 72 years, but on Saturday the two finally got hitched in Davenport, Iowa after they decided they didn't want to die single.
The two met for the first time in Yale, Iowa, where they both grew up, before moving over to Davenport in 1947. Boyack was a veteran teacher, and Alice worked payroll for a newspaper, before working for Alter Trading Corporation for 25 years.
Over the years, the two have gone all over the US together, having travelled to all 50 states, each and every Canadian province, and across to England twice.
They decided to end their lives to get her as wife and wife.. Well, my congratulations are in order.
